La Galoche
Fred learned his trade in France in 1987 and since has worked in more than 35 locations in France, Alberta, British Columbia and owned 2 shoe repair shops. La Galoche shoe repair has gained tremendous experience in repairing designer shoes over the past few years and is very familiar with French designer brands.
Meet Fred Goldstein
I learned my trade when I was 22, and never really stayed away from it - except maybe for a few years when I worked in photography and video production because I was given the opportunity. Actually, these skills came in handy when I decided to create La Galoche’s shoe repair YouTube channel, where I promote my work using videos about the process of the repairs.
Customizing shoes, re-painting them and re-crafting leather soles is what I love best but I also enjoy painting and sketching, music and more. You can check my personal and professional work aside from shoes at www.fredgoldstein.com
